Nutritional Immunology is using nutrients and botanical immunomodulators to support immune function for preventing infections, cancer, and autoimmunity.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the extracellular and intracellular signaling networks involved in activation of innate and acquired immune cells
  • Examine the molecular mechanisms by which nutritional deficiencies and/or malnutrition-related overconsumption can cause immune dysfunction
  • Explore the potential role of diet, nutrients, and botanicals in restoring healthy immune function
